PROJECT OBJECTIVES:
OUR TEAM WAS ENTRUSTED WITH THE COMPLEX TASK OF PROVIDING BIM SUPPORT FOR THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN AND EXECUTION PLANNING OF AN ELEVATOR SHAFT ADDITION TO A CENTURY-OLD PRIVATE MANSION. ENSURING AN EXCEPTIONAL LEVEL OF PRECISION IN BOTH TECHNICAL MODELING AND DOCUMENTATION WAS CRUCIAL. ADDITIONALLY, SEAMLESS COORDINATION OF THE STRUCTURAL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROPOSED STEEL ELEVATOR SHAFT WITH THE EXISTING BUILDING STRUCTURE WAS ESSENTIAL, ALONG WITH CLOSE COLLABORATION WITH THE ELEVATOR SUPPLIER.
PROJECT SOLUTION:
THE EXISTING RESIDENCE WAS FULLY SCANNED USING A LEICA LIDAR SYSTEM, AND A DETAILED REVIT MODEL (LOD 300) OF EXISTING CONDITIONS WAS DEVELOPED, ACCOUNTING FOR ALL BUILDING IMPERFECTIONS. WE INCORPORATED THE ARCHITECTURAL INTENT INTO THE INFORMATIONAL MODEL USING PHASES, ENSURING THAT ALL STAGES OF CONSTRUCTION — EXCAVATION, DEMOLITION, AND THE ERECTION OF THE PROPOSED STRUCTURE — WERE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED IN THE PROJECT EXECUTION DOCUMENTATION. WE COORDINATED THE PROPOSED ARCHITECTURAL SOLUTIONS WITH THE STEEL STRUCTURE MANUFACTURER AND ELEVATOR SUPPLIER THROUGH THE EXCHANGE OF IFC FILES, ENSURING POTENTIAL SITE CLASHES WERE AVOIDED. WE DEVELOPED A HIGHLY ACCURATE SET OF EXECUTION DRAWINGS THAT MET ARCHITECTURAL REQUIREMENTS, ADHERED TO CODE STANDARDS, AND FULLY COMPLIED WITH THE STEEL STRUCTURE AND ELEVATOR MACHINERY SPECIFICATIONS.
